Essential collaboration with the STEAM program and the initiative of Mr. Keel, Social Studies teacher (Grade 6), led us to work as a team to celebrate the week where ancient Greece was successfully highlighted.

Ms. Broeder, Ms. Riand and Ms. Richardson were also a part of the events and not only dressed as the grandiose Goddesses they are, they brought a heightened degree of inspiration to this meaningful activity.

My STEAM students designed and built the architecture of a Parthenon facade -- emphasizing the columns and designs and the mathematical calculations of Greek art.

Other students made Olympic torches, Olive wreaths and Spartan masks.

A session of Olympic Games was the highlight of the day (Thank you Coack K!).

Next year we'll host a full week of events, with more collaborative activities, discoveries and new learning.
